Okay I’m going to be honest here, I love buying gym essentials from Amazon and Target. They have affordable options that are exactly what you need without the big price tag. Here are some of my favorite gym essentials that I use daily!
Lululemon dupe leggings
We all know Lululemon can be pretty expensive, especially if you’re trying to have a variety of gym clothing. My sister found the most amazing Lululemon dupe leggings EVER. I have actually been wearing them since early 2020. They are literally my favorite leggings I own! I also own probably 10 different colors, and they are all cute. I own the Hey Nuts 7/8 Leggings (25 inches) because I’m a shorty (5’2), but they also have a full length version which is 28 inches. They also have a 21” cropped version and a 7/8 version that has pockets on the side! If you want a full-length version with pockets on the side, then here’s a brand that has them. The Gym People brand is also another great Lululemon dupe, although I like the Hey Nuts brand better!
Gym bag
Gym bags are an essential if you need to change at the gym or have other essentials to carry with you like deodorant, earphones, water bottle, hair bands, toiletries, etc. I love having a good gym bag that has a separate compartment for shoes because I don’t like putting dirty shoes with all my other items.
Workout log
If you like to write down your workouts, then having a workout log helps quite a bit! It helps it all stay clean and organized and helps you keep track of your progress. This one has everything you need: pages to write your exercise plans, goals, calendar, progress tracker, results, routine workouts/exercises, and notes.
AirPods / earphones
I’m sure you prefer to listen to music while you’re working out, which is why it’s essential to have a good pair of AirPods, earphones, or headphones. And if you don’t like music, then maybe you’ll enjoy listening to a podcast (hi, that’s me sometimes). Listening to something, whether it’s music or a podcast, is a great way to get into the zone and enjoy your workout. Not gonna lie, I definitely enjoy blasting music on weight lifting days because it helps me push harder – not sure how, but it does. But if I’m just going on a walk, I enjoy listening to a podcast because those days don’t take as much mental strength as leg days.
Scrunchies / hair bands
An essential to have in your gym bag in case yours breaks, or you forget to put your hair up altogether or are planning to change into your workout clothes at the gym. It’s good to be stocked up on these! My favorite is scrunchies because they’re better for your hair (and I’m really working hard to have healthier hair), but I also love these hair ties, which are also known to be better.
Water bottle
Working out makes me thirsty, and I’m sure it makes you thirsty too! I just carry my stainless steel tumbler that I’ve had for years. It’s easy, holds a lot of water, and I like to avoid plastic!
Deodorant
Always a good idea to keep deodorant in your gym bag, right? If you don’t already know, I’m obsessed with Primally Pure deodorant. They’re all natural but they ACTUALLY work. I absolutely love them! I use the vanilla citrus scent, and my husband uses the charcoal scent. They both smell amazing.
