What can chai spice be used for?

This flavorful autumn spices combination creates the perfect flavor profile that you can use for lattes, oatmeal (such as this Cozy Pumpkin Chai Baked Oatmeal), muffins, ice cream, cookies, and more. If you love chai spice, then the options are limitless for what you can use it for. The spices are warm, cozy, nutrient, dense, and more., The combination is not only flavorful, but also full of health benefits!

What are some of the health benefits of chai spice?

Cinnamon – lowers blood sugar, high in antioxidants. Ceylon cinnamon is the most nutrient dense (rather than the typical Saigon cinnamon)

Ginger – great for gut health and the immune system.

Cardamom – anti-inflammatory

Allspice – promotes circulation which is great for relieving muscles, pain, etc.

Nutmeg – calms the nervous system and is great for hormone health

Cloves – rich in antioxidants

Black pepper – rich in antioxidants, is anti-microbial, great for gut health

How to store chai spice

You’ll store it in an airtight container in a cool, dry area (such as the pantry). As for the expiration of it – take a look at the expiration of the individual spices you are using and it should be best by the date you see on those spices (hopefully they’re all within a similar timeframe!).
