Baked Brie with hot honey, baked until perfectly melty and creamy, then drizzled with spicy honey for a warm, crowd-pleasing appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale

12-oz (350g) brie wheel - I used Bonhomme grass-fed brie - fresh brie is best for this!

2-4 Tbsp hot honey, to taste - I used Mike's hot honey (42-84g)

For serving:

Toasted sourdough or baguette slices

Crackers

Apple slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Once the oven is preheated, put the brie into a baking dish and cut a few slashes in the top of the brie.
  3. Bake uncovered for 15-18 minutes, until the center is soft and melty but the cheese is still holding its shape.
  4. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes.
  5. Drizzle hot honey on top.
  6. Serve warm with toasted sourdough, crackers, or sliced apples for contrast. This also pairs beautifully with roasted nuts or fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme if you want a simple garnish.
  7. Please leave a comment and rating! It helps my website so much!

Modifications and variations

  • If you don’t like spicy, then opt for regular honey instead of hot honey.
  • Add diced fresh rosemary, thyme, or sage for an herb flavor.
  • Add some diced nuts such as pecans, almonds, pistachios, or walnuts.
