This Apple Cider Latte is the perfect mash-up of two classics: bold espresso and sweet, spiced apple cider. The trick is reducing the cider down until it’s thick and syrupy – that way, you get the cozy apple cider flavors without watering down the espresso. Add warm spices, a splash of vanilla, and a touch of maple sweetness, and you’ve got a latte that feels indulgent but is made with simple, real ingredients. Perfect for crisp mornings, slow afternoons, or anytime you’re craving a little seasonal magic.
And unlike the versions you’ll find at most coffee shops, this latte is made without artificial syrups, flavorings, or heaps of refined sugar. Instead of a pump of “apple spice syrup,” you’re getting the real thing. It’s just as cozy and indulgent, but made with ingredients you can feel good about! Also… the maple whipped cream on top is way beyond delicious and takes this latte to another level – you will love it!
Nutritional benefits of this Iced Apple Cider Latte
This latte isn’t just cozy — it sneaks in some nourishing perks, too:
- Apples are rich in fiber, vitamin C, antioxidants, and more.
Cinnamon is known keep blood sugar balanced, is rich in antioxidants, is anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial. - Cloves are rich in antioxidants, including eugenol, which helps combat oxidative stress, reduce inflammation and swelling, boost the immune system, and stimulate digestion by increasing saliva and gastric juice production, reducing bloating and gas.
- Allspice is rich in antioxidants, including eugenol, gallic acid, and quercetin. These compounds help protect cells from damage caused by free radicals, reducing the risk of chronic diseases. Just like cloves and cinnamon, it’s also anti-inflammatory, immune-boosting, and great for digestion.
- Maple syrup is a natural sweetener that is the sap from maple trees. It’s lower glycemic than typical refined sugars, it’s super rich in minerals like manganese, zinc, calcium, and potassium, and it has antioxidants and fiber.
- Using milk and cream from grass-fed cows gives you a much purer, nutrient-dense product. The cows live a more natural, healthy lifestyle and therefore their milk products are going to be more nutrient dense and healthier. I’m all for sustainable and regenerative farming, and using grass-fed dairy is a great way to do that.
- Purity Coffee is mold-free, mycotoxin-free, and free of pesticides and other contaminants. It’s my favorite healthy coffee brand at the moment!

Ingredients for a Iced Apple Cider Latte
Spiced Apple Cider – You can use my Homemade Spiced Apple Cider recipe if you want! It’s naturally sweetened and so delicious.
Espresso – to make a double shot of espresso. I use the De’Longhi espresso machine, but I definitely look forward to buying a Breville soon to take this latte to another level!
Milk – grass-fed is always recommended for health. This is for the latte portion.
Heavy cream – as always, opt for grass-fed. This is for the whipped cream on top.
Pure maple syrup – as the natural sweetener. It compliments fall flavors perfectly, it’s super nutrient-dense, and it is so much healthier than refined sugars typically found in coffee shops.
Ground cinnamon
Ground cloves
Ground allspice
Ice – unless you make it a hot latte instead
How to make a Iced Apple Cider Latte
- Strain the apple cider vinegar to remove any sediment. Put the apple cider in a small pot and simmer over medium heat for 15-20 minutes until it reduces to 2-3 Tbsp and is a thick syrup consistency. Keep an eye on it, stirring occasionally, and making sure it doesn’t burn. You can turn it to below medium if your stove runs hot.
- While waiting, make a double shot espresso and let it cool down.
- When the apple cider syrup is done, pour the milk into a 16-oz cup and pour the espresso into the cup with the reduced apple cider mixture, the vanilla extract, and the spices. Whisk with a milk brother until combined.
- Add ice until about almost full. Whip the cream with a drizzle of maple syrup and dump on top. Stick a straw into the cup and enjoy.
Serving Ideas
This latte is the kind of drink that begs for a cozy snack on the side. Here are some of my favorite pairings:
- Apple Cider Donuts – The ultimate fall combo!
- Pumpkin bread or pumpkin muffins – Keeps the autumn theme going with warm spices.
- A simple cheese board – Apples + cheddar or brie are classic together, and this latte balances both sweet and savory bites.
- Crispy fall mornings – Honestly, it’s just as good sipped on its own while wrapped up in a blanket or while doing your devotional outside.

Modifications
- Hot version – Skip the ice and steam the milk for a cozy, warming drink.
- Lighter topping – Froth milk with a touch of maple syrup instead of making whipped cream for a cold foam-style finish.
- Add a few drops of almond extract to add more dimension to the flavor – almond often helps bring out the subtle notes of fruit such as apple and peaches so it may be a wonderful addition to this coffee!
Why you’ll love this Iced Apple Cider Latte
- Cozy fall flavor – real apple cider reduced into a syrupy base
- Naturally sweetened – with maple syrup instead of refined sugar
- Better than a coffee shop – and you know exactly what’s in it
- Customizable – make it iced (like I did!) or hot and frothy

- Prep Time: 5 minutes
- Cook Time: 15-20 minutes
- Total Time: 0 hours
- Yield: 1 serving 1x
- Category: latte, coffee, drinks
- Method: espresso, stovetop
- Cuisine: American
Ingredients
1/2 cup spiced apple cider, strained – I used my homemade recipe
1 Tbsp pure maple syrup
2 shots espresso
5–6 oz grass-fed milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 rounded tsp ground Ceylon cinnamon
2–3 pinches of ground cloves
2 pinches of allspice
Pinch of salt
Ice
Whipped cream topping
2–3 Tbsp grass-fed heavy cream
1/2 tsp pure maple syrup
Sprinkle of cinnamon and cloves
Instructions
- Strain the apple cider to remove any sediment. Put the apple cider in a small pot with the maple syrup and simmer over medium heat for 15-20 minutes until it reduces to 2-3 Tbsp and is a thick syrup consistency.
Whisk with a milk frother until combined.
- Add ice until about almost full. Using the milk frother, whip the cream with a drizzle of maple syrup and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon and cloves. This takes about 15-20 seconds to get a whipped consistency without being over-whipped. Pour on top of the latte. Stick a straw into the cup and enjoy.
Notes:
- If using apple cider that is not “spiced”, then add extra ground cinnamon, ground cloves, and ground allspice to the drink to taste. Every apple cider will have a different flavor, so every latte will turn out different – just adjust as necessary!
- Make it a hot latte by skipping the ice and steaming the milk.
