Gotta love a delicious, nourishing smoothie! This Superfood Green Smoothie packs a bunch of nutrients and is easy to customize with adding even more superfoods that you have on hand. Be sure to print this one out because it’ll be perfect all year around!
Nutritional benefits of this smoothie
- Bananas are high in potassium, fiber, and more. They are satiating and sweet, making them a perfect addition to many smoothies.
- Spinach is rich in iron, vitamin C, vitamin E, magnesium, and potassium.
- Collagen adds healthy protein, making the smoothie more balanced and lower-glycemic. Collagen is great for skin, hair, nails, and more.
- Flaxseeds are known to reduce cholesterol, improve digestive health, and regulate bowel movements. They are rich in fiber and omega-3’s. Using flaxseed meal instead of whole flaxseeds really helps with their absorption, too, because our bodies can’t break down whole flaxseeds. Grinding them up is essential to utilize their nutrients!
Ingredients
Banana
Pineapple – or sub mango
Spinach
Collagen – To balance the smoothie with some healthy protein. Always use grass-fed collagen.
Nut butter – To add healthy fats which makes the smoothie more blood-sugar friendly.
Flaxseed meal – To add omega 3’s, healthy fiber, and additional nutrients.
Milk of choice or water
Honey – Optional for a little sweetness
Additional superfoods – You can add any other superfoods you have on hand such as maca root, ashwagandha, milk thistle, and more.
Method
Blend all ingredients together. Adjust milk and/or add ice to preference. Enjoy!
Modifications
- Add green apple for an extra fruity kick with a little tanginess.
- Incorporate hemp seeds for more omega-3’s and protein.
- Add ground Ceylon cinnamon for more blood-sugar balancing benefits and delicious flavor.

Ingredients
1 frozen banana
3/4 cup frozen pineapple (or mango)
1 1/2 cups spinach
1 scoop collagen
2 Tbsp nut butter
1/2 Tbsp flaxseed meal
3/4 cup water or milk of choice
Optional additions of choice: milk thistle, ashwagandha, maca root, slippery elm bark, etc.
Optional: 1-2 tsp honey
Instructions
