1/2 cup canned full-fat coconut milk* see notes
3 Tbsp water
3/4 cup coconut sugar
1 tsp maple extract
1/4 tsp sea salt, to taste (up to 1/2-3/4 tsp for "salted caramel")
Notes:
*Be sure to mix the coconut milk well as it typically separates in the can. You can also use light coconut milk, but the sauce won’t be as creamy.
