I’ve been seeing peaches in all the stores lately so I’m obsessed with making recipes with them! They are so fresh and delicious and they’re perfect for many summer recipes.
This Peach Avocado Salsa is fresh, nourishing, and vibrant. Pair it with chips, salmon, chicken, or fish tacos and you’re in for a flavorful meal!
Have you been enjoying peaches lately? I would love to know in the comments below! I think I’ll be posting more peach recipes in the next couple weeks before the peach season is over. They’re just too good!
The ingredients
Peaches – The most delicious part of the recipe! Fresh peaches are wonderful in many recipes, especially this salsa.
Avocado – Adds healthy fats and beautiful color.
Red onion – Adds wonderful, savory flavor to the salsa.
Jalapeño – Adds a touch of spice. Feel free to omit or adjust to preference.
Cilantro – For a fresh flavor; it compliments the salsa very well.
Lime – The citrusy touch helps bring all the flavors together as well as keep the avocado from browning.
Salt, black pepper – To add flavor.
Customize your salsa
- Don’t like peaches? No problem, you can sub for mango or pineapple. Feel free to check out this mango salsa recipe.
- Don’t like avocado? No problem there either, you can simply omit it. If you want an extra touch of color, then feel free to add chopped bell pepper to the recipe.
- Adjust the spice – Feel free to omit, decrease, or increase the jalapeño according to your preference.
How to store the salsa
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator with an extra drizzle of lime juice for optimal freshness. I recommend eating this salsa immediately or storing no longer than 1-2 days, as it looks the best when it’s fresh. If you want to store it for the 1-2 days, then I recommend using peaches and avocado that are ripe but still slightly firm, this way you’ll avoid the salsa from becoming mushy too quickly. Feel free to adjust the recipe for a smaller serving size if you aren’t making it for only a couple people.
What to serve with peach avocado salsa
You can simply pair it with chips as a delicious appetizer, or you can use it on top of fish tacos, chicken, salmon, and more.
I hope you love this peach salsa! If you make it, be sure to leave a comment & a rating to let me know how you liked it. I would also love to know what you paired it with!
